Terms, licence & refunds

Last updated 9 October 2026

CacheFlo is not on sale yet. These terms will apply from launch.

1. Who sells CacheFlo

CacheFlo is made by OwenM ("we"). It is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as reseller and merchant of record: your purchase contract and payment are with Lemon Squeezy, under its buyer terms. Your right to use the software comes from the licence below, which is between you and us.

2. Prices and payment

Prices on this site include VAT. The final amount, with the VAT rate for your country, is shown at checkout before you pay. A licence is a one-off purchase with no subscription.

3. Your licence

  • A 1-Mac licence lets you activate CacheFlo on one Mac at a time; a 2-Mac licence on two Macs at a time.
  • You can move a licence to another Mac by deactivating it on the old one. If that Mac is lost or broken, contact support and we'll free the seat.
  • The licence is personal or for use within one household or business. Don't share, resell or publish your licence key.
  • It includes all updates within the same major version (1.x), and 2 years of security list updates from the date of purchase. A future major version may be a paid upgrade. After the security list period, everything keeps working with the last list you received.
  • The licence does not expire, but it is checked online. CacheFlo confirms it with our licence server when you activate it and about once a week when you're online. If it can't check for 14 days, cleaning pauses until the next successful check; scanning, Health and Protect's checks keep working.
  • A licence that is refunded, charged back or disabled for misuse stops working at the next check.
  • CacheFlo runs on a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 13 Ventura or later. It is not supported on Intel Macs.
  • You may not reverse engineer, modify or bypass the licence check, except where the law allows it.

4. Free trial

You can try every feature free for 14 days, once per Mac. The trial is confirmed with our licence server on first launch, which needs an internet connection, and it can't be extended or restarted. After that, scanning, Health and Protect's security checks keep working; cleaning, Boost, quarantine and scheduled tasks need a licence. Security warnings are never locked behind payment.

5. Refunds and your right of withdrawal

If CacheFlo isn't right for you, email support@cacheflo.net within 14 days of buying and you'll get a full refund. No reason needed. Refunds are paid by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method, and the licence key is deactivated.

Under EU consumer law, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content supplied immediately, that right ends when the download or licence key is provided, if you agreed to that at checkout. Our 14-day refund above applies regardless.

6. Your data and your final decision

CacheFlo suggests items that may be safe to remove, but it does not decide for you. Its labels (Safe, Review and Careful), size estimates and suggestions are produced automatically from where files are stored and what type they are. They are guidance only and can't take into account how important a file is to you.

Nothing is removed, moved or changed until you select it and confirm with Touch ID or your password. That confirmation is your final verification. Before you confirm, you are responsible for:

  • reviewing every selected item, especially items labelled Review or Careful;
  • keeping a current, working backup of your Mac and your data, for example with Time Machine; and
  • the clean-ups you schedule to run automatically, and the settings you choose for them.

Removed items normally go to the Trash and can be put back until the Trash is emptied. Emptying the Trash, uninstalling an app with its files, and items you remove yourself outside CacheFlo can be permanent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, data, files, apps or settings that results from items you selected and approved, from emptying the Trash, from clean-ups you scheduled, or from the lack of a backup. This does not limit our liability under section 7 for loss caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or caused by a fault in CacheFlo that changes or removes something you did not select and approve, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Warranty and liability

If you are a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content under EU law, and nothing in these terms limits it. We provide updates needed to keep CacheFlo working and secure on supported macOS versions.

Beyond that guarantee, CacheFlo is provided as is. We don't promise any particular amount of space freed or improvement in speed, that it will detect every item of junk, malware or vulnerability, or that it will run without interruption. Online services such as the licence server, the security list and the speed test may occasionally be unavailable.

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for death or personal injury. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the price you paid for your licence, and if you use CacheFlo for business we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, business interruption or the cost of recovering data. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Malta. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. If something goes wrong, please contact us first. We'll try to fix it.
